My 2014 Acura RDX "check charging system" light came on yesterday. Shortly after, my power system went out. I was sure it was my alternator. Got towed by AAA to Duncan's based off their recommendation (app shows you shops nearby that are AAA certified) after the shop was already closed. Next day I got a call, and sure enough, the diagnosic came back that it was the alternator. They also gave me a list of recommendations, such as my timing belt needing to be repaired. I was quoted $1,260 for parts and labor, which included a Denso remanufactuered alternator that includes 24 month warranty. I opted out of replacing the serpentine belt (saved $60) and got about a $65 discount for AAA membership. All in all, great experience, but after doing more research, this shop was priced at the HIGH end- my reason for 4⭐️. I would definitely use them again, but I'll be pricing around before getting the timing belt replaced. The quote for that today was $1700, so it could be more if that included less labor if they did it with the alternator. Abe was very patient over the phone and helpful! I'm grateful they got my vehicle up and running in a day.
